Name: S Apple Cummins (don't ask, my parents named me)
Age: Thirty... Something...
Born: Karot, Thailand (north of Bangkok)

A little information about myself. I was born in Thailand, raised in the United States since I was a little lad of six years old. Many
times, my father brings up the story that I was born to draw. I always had a pencil or crayon fixed in my hand when I was little.
Maybe it is true. I remember a pencil, paper, and light comic book ready was my favorite thing. Maybe it was a way to cope from the
culture shock of coming to American at a young age. At age six I didn't speak a spit of English and did not
understand the new surroundings around me. I definitely knew I loved to draw and read... Actually the
illustrations in books.  Creating something from my imagination on paper was my doorway to my perfect
world... I was only invited. I believe the vivid imaginations of my childhood mold me to the person I've
become. I have a good eye for beauty, even in the ugliest things and everything has a story to tell. I'm still
a kid at heart and believe a piece of art (music, photo, painting, cartoon, digital, comics) can spark that
inner imagination in all of us. It's the feelings I get when I see art and the story it has to tell.

My primary work is digital illustrations. I've just recently plunged myself into the world of Digital art
three years ago. Now, I love working with the PC as another tool to help me create. I still do the
traditional paint brush on canvas, but more as a stress reliever or a relaxer on a warm summer day.
Now, my digital work has transferred onto my traditional art. You can see my current paintings
inspired by Japanese Anime and Manga comics.
